Who is Pete (the doc) Leese

I was born in 1952 in a small market town called Leek in Staffordshire UK.

My main hobbies over the years have been Music, football and Golf.
I worked full time in Banking until I retired in 2014. During that period I was also a professional musician (multi instrumentalist) working with Dance Bands in the 1960s at a very young age then touring the Cabaret and Social Club circuits up and down the UK winning many awards for best Duo mainly in the Northwest of the UK.

My collection of music is in the region of 70k tracks. All my CDs etc having been transferred digitally to computer! It is an eclectic mix covering 1940s to 1990s with my preferences being 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. I listen to all genres depending on my mood!

In the 1960s I used to listen to the Pirate Radios to pick up the latest releases and artistes so when I retired I became involved, first of all, presenting live shows on the Local Community Radio then recording shows for Doug Wood's "RADIO SHIP". Due to ill health the station closed down so I approached Radio Extra Gold and the rest, as they say, is history!
